Besides outfitting your favorite guitar with new Porter Pickups, we also offer a variety of tone upgrades that will help you get the most out of your Porter Pickups. Much of these are available as a custom orders, but we've included an idea of the prices below.

Loaded Pickguards

Great replacement for overseas made guitars that normally use cheap quality pots, capacitors and switches. Get the best electronics to go with your Porter hand wound pickups. Loaded pickguards require only a few solder joints of the input jack, and come pre-installed with all the wiring and your choice of Porter Pickups. Contact us for pickguard color options, and pickup configuration. Pricing starts at $250 for loaded pickguards with your choice of Porter Pickups.

 

Wiring Kits

Upgraded parts like switches, pots and capacitors to make sure you get the best tone out of your guitar. We recommend these wring kits for most non USA made guitars, and even some of the USA made ones. You should consider one of these wiring kits as a compliment to your guitars sound and they are especially recommended for use with Porter Pickups to get the maximum tonal capabilities out of your guitar. Kits are easy to install and are available pre-wired or unwired with a diagram for wiring it up yourself. Please choose pre-wired if you are unsure about how to properly solder, or read the wiring diagrams. We will assist you with installation help, but will not be responsible for issues that arise from a customer's attempt to install new electronics. Some soldering will be required for pre-assembled kits, such as soldering to the jack and soldering the pickups.

Additional wiring kits are also available for other guitar styles by contacting us. Some kits may require enlarging hole sizes to fit newer electronics. The above kits should not require any additional modification.
